Mahmoud AlShalabi is a transformational nursing leader with over 22 years of experience in high-quality healthcare organizations, including JCI- and CBAHI-accredited hospitals, with a vision toward Magnet designation. As the Deputy Nursing Director of Critical Care Services at King Fahad Medical City (KFMC), he leads a team of over 300 nurses across multiple ICU and ambulatory care units, ensuring the delivery of clinically excellent, patient- and family-centered care.
Passionate about staff empowerment, quality improvement, and patient experience, Mahmoud believes that exceptional patient care starts with an engaged and well-supported nursing workforce. He plays a key role in nursing leadership development, strategic planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration, while actively contributing to research, recruitment, and professional education. A Training Center Faculty (TCF) member and certified BLS and PALS instructor by the American Heart Association (AHA), he is committed to fostering continuous learning and innovation in healthcare.
