As Chief Nursing Officer at King Saud University Medical City since 2020, he has played a pivotal role in transforming the healthcare landscape through innovative patient care models and strategic HR restructuring. These efforts have not only generated significant financial savings but also enhanced the quality of care provided. Prior to this, as Director of Nursing, he spearheaded the National Workforce Initiative, which dramatically increased the number of national nursing staff, showcasing his commitment to workforce development and capacity building.
In addition to his executive roles, he has served as a Consultant for Healthcare Projects at the Saudi Health Academy, leading key projects that improved patient care and staff satisfaction. He expertly managed high-level risks while consistently exceeding benchmarks. He re-engineered the business model’s work environment, transforming it from a reactive workforce into a high-performing organization that delivers value-based outcomes.
Educationally, he is well-equipped, having completed a Senior Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School and earning a PhD in Executive Leadership Competencies from King Saud University. Yousef has introduced several initiatives for the organization, such as revamping the model of care, optimizing training capacity utilization in workforce management, and enhancing the onboarding process. These initiatives have resulted in annual savings of 39 million Riyals and generated a revenue of 14.9 million Saudi Riyals. He has also made significant contributions to academic literature, with publications addressing leadership competencies, healthcare worker motivation, and patient care quality.
