Prof. Ahmed bin Salah Hersi

Professor Ahmed bin Salah Hersi is the CEO of the Medical City at King Saud University. He is a cardiologist and electrophysiologist who holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master Degree in Clinical Epidemiology. With 18 years of professional experience, he held various leadership positions within KSUMC. In addition, he served as a consultant at the Ministry of Health and worked closely with the World Health Organization (WHO) as a member of international committee with developing a blueprint for MERS R&D and research. Furthermore, he played a key role in driving the healthcare sector’s transformation initiatives in Saudi Arabia. Prof Ahmed has been recognized for the past 2 years for his exceptional leadership by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the best 101 CEOs of academic medical centers internationally.
